An interview with Deborah Miller, programme manager for particle astrophysics at the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) in the UK, who together with Emanuela Pistoia from INFN, formed the Common Call Secretariat for the first ASPERA Common Call.
The first ever European Week of Astroparticle Physics, held from 10 to 17 October, provided an opportunity for the general public to learn about this still relatively little-known branch of science.
